Just found out from the IEBlog that Microsoft have released a beta of the IE Developer Toolbar.

It has some pretty nice features - you can view the HTML DOM of the current page, update attributes and styles of items on the page, toggle various useful pieces of info (such as image size, image path etc), and outline various types of element on the page.  You can also do single click validation of the page etc.

Most web developers will probably find something useful in there.  :-)

Microsoft and Yahoo! have announced an agreement to connect their messenger products together.  This will mean that users will be able to include buddies from both the MSN and Yahoo! services in whichever of the two clients they prefer.

Check out the press release here.

At the risk of over-doing the Cat/Stuff theme, one of today's entries was great.  Go Dolphins!

My feed reader is jam-packed with feeds that keep me up to date with the latest technologies and news.  I thoroughly enjoy reading through them every day, but just sometimes the deluge of information can get a little much.  ASP.Net this, C# that, Microsoft the other.  Sometimes you just want a posting or two that makes you laugh.

One such feed I like is from www.OverheardInNewYork.com.  People send in snippets of conversations they overheard whilst going about their New York day.  Some of them make your mind boggle as to what exactly was being spoken about.

My favourite site right now though is one that a friend pointed out - it is called www.StuffOnMyCat.com.  It is basically pictures of cats.  With stuff on them.  That's it.  Hilarious.

As a taster, here is one for the drunken gamer in you...

Leave me a comment, let me know which feeds brighten your days!!

It is that time of year again; time for cold sweaty mornings.

I spent last week in Shanghai, working with our new development team over there. It was very sunny, highs of 30 degrees C most days, with high humidity.  This morning when I left the house, it was 6 degrees C, and the moisture came mostly from the large amounts of dew on the grass and foliage.  I used to think dealing with time-zones was the hard part of travelling. Now I think that is the easy part compared to the temperature-zones! :-)

Luckily, I am back in Shanghai again next week, so I will briefly be able to enjoy the heat again. Just easing myself into Autumn one week at a time...
